Hey everyone,
My name is Nikole, I’m Mia’s mum 😊
So last November, Mia was promoted to being a big sister to our little warrior girl called Nelly.
Unfortunately, shortly after Nelly was born we spent nearly 2 months at the hospital.
Nelly was diagnosed with a neurometabolic disorder called NKH and also with Epilepsy.
NKH, is a life limiting illness that causes toxic levels of glycine to build up in the body, which then causes serious developmental delays, issues with motor skills and the brain.
There’s no cure for this disorder YET. The research team in London & Colorado are currently in the process of creating a Gene Therapy as a cure! We’re raising money to help fund this research to give Nelly and other children like her a chance at a better or even a normal life.
There’s only about 500-600 people in the world with NKH. Only a very few of these are adults.
We have created a GoFundMe page where you can donate to help us find a cure.
The smallest donations make a difference and sharing to raise awareness means just as much!

We made Bees for our World Bee Day Craft Activity, the children painted paper plates yellow, they cut our bees black stripes and wings and glued them onto the plate with their eyes and feelers. We also read stories to the children.🥰🐝🐝🐝🐝🪷🪻🥀🌷

World Bee Day today . Our Tuff Tray with yellow Colour Couscous, we also cut up Toilet Roll and painted them to make the Honeycomb, flowers and our bees which we made from Pompoms and lids. with scoopers for their fine motor skills. lots of sensory play🙂🐝🐝🐝🐝🌼🌸🌺
