Lots of great work and learning went on with the children in Services and at home during Numeracy Week! The children had lots of fun thinking about Shapes and linking these to Numeracy activities in their play 😃🟣🔷🟩🔺

This week is Curriculum Priority Week! We'll be learning about Numeracy fun - and learning about shapes at home 😃

When children learn about “Shape” they learn early math's skills which supports their understanding and builds their confidence. Why not try out the activity below:

Shape Treasure Hunt 🟠🔺
Look around the room and choose some shapes you would like your child to find.
Circle, Square, Rectangle
Draw them on a piece of paper.
Ask your child to look around the room and find the shape that match their chart.
Ask the child to draw the shapes they see.
Ask the child to count how many circles, squares, rectangles they see?
