Great ideals are often born not in great halls, but in quiet corners—where courage meets conversation.

The genesis for Timoney Leadership Institute and its ambition to support leaders, in a deep and meaningful way, actually started nearly 20 years ago....over a pint of Guinness and a plate of oysters in a unique spot near Galway on the Wild Atlantic Way - Moran's Oyster Cottage.

This summer we had the opportunity to mark that important step and acknowledge the mighty leaders behind it - Dr John Killeen, Professor Alberto Ribera and Paul Harman.

Thank you especially to William Moran who looked after us so well and for marking the auspicious occasion erecting a plaque on the wall. William is the 7th generation of Morans providing wonderful hospitality there.

Timoney Leadership Institute is now at the forefront in providing world-class executive education to CEOs, MDs and Leaders from across the island of Ireland - an education that helps leaders transform themselves and their organisations based on a human-centred mindset in leading, scaling and sustaining teams and organisations.

It was a real privilege once again to have the CEO of Lily O'Brien's Chocolates, Michelle Vance, join leaders at the Timoney Leadership Programme this week, to discuss the Lily O'Brien: Thinking Inside the Box case study. Very interesting to debate about the pros and cons of different strategic options and then hear what Michelle and her team experienced in the in.
Practical leadership learnings! Many thanks Michelle!

This case is the first Timoney Leadership Institute Strategic Marketing case study, produced in collaboration with Prof Joe Pons and hosted on IESE Publishing.

Great discussion on the Timoney ALP with Prof Rory McDonald around the "David facing Goliath" moment when Netflix scuppered Blockbuster. The world just doesn't stand still.
From posting 1 million DVDs a day across the US 20 years ago to becoming a streaming giant with its own movie content, Netflix continues to disrupt the entertainment business.

Now Netflix is planning on inserting adverts before and during programs! Will it work? Great opportunity to reflect on how susceptible our own organisations are to being disrupted.

Lifting your head up from the field of action and taking time out on higher ground to get a broader perspective is a great way to improve your leadership in these uncertain times.

Delighted to welcome another great group of leaders from across Ireland & UK who joined us for an introduction to our Advanced Leadership Programme that Timoney Leadership Institute is delivering.

Looking forward to accompanying them on a transformational learning experience.

How confident are you that your employees will speak up to management about important issues facing your organisation?

Research shared by Prof Michael Roberto today at our Timoney Masterclass highlighted just how over confident leaders can be which isn't shared by junior members of the organisation.

Great atmosphere and discussion on the Colombia Shuttle and Everest case studies with 50 leaders from across our leadership programmes here in Farnham Estate Spa And Golf Resort in Cavan.
