UCD Sport The page for UCD Sport. Here in UCD Sport our primary pursuit is based around the principle of participation.

If you have a passion for competitive sport or a desire to lead a healthier and active lifestyle, UCD Sport has a wide variety of sporting and leisure pursuits to choose from. We encourage participation at all levels from beginners to elite, and have numerous clubs, programmes and facilities available to achieve this. Although membership of our clubs is restricted to UCD students, staff and graduates, members of the public can use our facilities, take part in exercise classes and camps on a commercial basis. Applications for the UCD Ad Astra Elite Sport Scholarship close tomorrow 11:59pm 31 January. Don’t miss your chance to apply!

🏅 Sport Scholarships at UCD are open to both prospective and current students, supporting athletes competing at the highest levels while pursuing their studies.

â„č Please note:
The UCD Sport Scholarship operates independently of the Ad Astra Elite Sports Scholarship, which is managed by the UCD Ad Astra Academy.

However, if you apply for Elite Sport Scholarship and are unsuccessful, you can opt to have your application transferred to the UCD Sport Scholarship by ticking the consent box on your Ad Astra application form - meaning no separate application is required.

Apply now before the deadline of midnight 31 January 2026

⏰This coming Tuesday (27th) Refreshers will be taking place in ASTRA Hall in the Old Student Centre.

❓What is Refreshers - Only the best opportunity to get involved with clubs in semster 2. Yes you heard right, over 15 sports clubs will be present at Refreshers with stalls in the main hall.

Committee members are bursting with information - so don't be afraid to head up to a stall if your interestred in joining. It doesnt matter if youre a new or returning student - everyone is welcome!!!

Semester Two is officially here, and we’re cranking the energy up to 100. Whether you spent the break recharging or training, it’s time to get back on the field, the court, and in the gym.
