🏅 Sport Scholarships at UCD are open to both prospective and current students, supporting athletes competing at the highest levels while pursuing their studies.

ℹ️ Please note:
The UCD Sport Scholarship operates independently of the Ad Astra Elite Sports Scholarship, which is managed by the UCD Ad Astra Academy.

However, if you apply for Elite Sport Scholarship and are unsuccessful, you can opt to have your application transferred to the UCD Sport Scholarship by ticking the consent box on your Ad Astra application form - meaning no separate application is required.

❓What is Refreshers - Only the best opportunity to get involved with clubs in semster 2. Yes you heard right, over 15 sports clubs will be present at Refreshers with stalls in the main hall.

Committee members are bursting with information - so don't be afraid to head up to a stall if your interestred in joining. It doesnt matter if youre a new or returning student - everyone is welcome!!!

Well, another year in UCD Sport has officially been ‘streamed.’ 🎧

Turns out, our student-athletes collectively spent an alarming amount of time in training... probably enough to earn a PhD in Sweat and Determination.

Top Genre: “Aggressively Competitive (with a side of questionable referee calls)” Top Artist: The sound of the Alarm Clock at 5 AM. 😴
Minutes Listened: 525,600 (mostly spent debating whether to skip that one gym session).
The Vibe: Sore, but make it sparkling. ✨

🎄 UCD AUC Club Officer Christmas Reception 🎄

What a fantastic evening we had last week celebrating our incredible Club Officers! Over 60 representatives from more than 20 clubs joined us in the O’Neill Lounge for mulled wine, dinner, and plenty of festive cheer as we wrapped up a busy and successful trimester.

This year, we’re proud to have over 400 committee members volunteering their time and talent across all UCD sports clubs - a testament to the strength and spirit of our student community.

A massive thank you to all of our clubs for the energy, commitment, and hard work you’ve put in this trimester.

Looking forward to an exciting 2026 with you all! ✨

Yesterday, UCD Women’s Rugby took home the gold against UL in the SSI/IRFU Div 1 League on a score line of 34-15. Captain Evelyn Donnelly had the honours of lifting the trophy down in Limerick after a stellar performance from the girls in blue.

The Students are the Champions 🥇🥇

After a long campaign, the UCD CUFL team crossed the finish line in Athlone last night with a 4-0 victory over ATU Sligo. After 90 exciting minutes of football with goals from Hugh Smith, Kyle Cailloce, Mikey McCullough and Sam Mohan - the cup was finally back in UCD AFC’s hands. Captain Ronan Finn had the honours of lifting the cup last night and bringing it back down the M6 to Belfield ⚽️

Massive congratulations to all the lads involved, to management and the background team, and to all of the club.

After a long league campaign, it all comes down to this.

Tomorrow, our Intermediate footballers face UCC in their league final in Carriganore Co. Waterford, while our Ladies Footballers head north-east to play ATU Sligo in the Div 3 league final.
