This Sunday a team of mothers, teachers, family members and friends will take part in the women's mini marathon to raise funds for Scoil Ghrainne's in house counselling service.

On Friday Mr Hanley presented some of the participants with a piece of artwork, that they can all sign to commemorate this accomplishment.

We wish them all the best for Sunday and there is still time to donate to the fund.

We are looking for volunteers within our community to help our school continue to grow. Any help would be greatly appreciated from the perspective of providing something for our pupils directly, or helping us to continue investing in opportunites for our pupils by saving money in other areas.

Below is some examples of voluntary work we would love some help with. Even an hour every now and then can make a real difference to our school and our wonderful pupils!

• Painting
• Carpentry
• Gardening
• Extra-curricular activities for our pupils
• Sports teams
• Music
• Drama etc

If anyone is interested in helping out in any way please email our office and I would be happy to discuss. [email protected]

Kind regards,
Jonathan Hanley

In 2023 Scoil Ghráinne CNS 🏫 funded its own counselling service for children on prolonged waiting lists. Since then 17 children (ranging from infants to 6th class) have come through the service.

This has had a profoundly positive impact on the children, their families and their classmates.

To continue funding this service for the coming year (€14,500 pa) parents, staff and friends of Scoil Ghráinne CNS will be participating in the VHI women’s mini-marathon on May 31st 🏃‍♀️

Please donate whatever you can to help provide this vital service for our pupils and you will also be entered into a draw for prizes such as:

Our Girls' Football team had the opportunity of a lifetime on Thursday, when they were invited to an irish Ladies Football Team training session (thanks to their coaches, former Irish Internationals, Breda and Marie)!

Thank you to Sarah Foy, Marie and Breda for organising such an amazing experiience for the team. The girls had an unforgettable day, and the players were incredible with them, demonstrating why they're such inspiring role models!
