📣 🇬🇷 Interested in learning modern Greek?
We are offering extramural classes both for beginners and for continuing students. They meet weekly in the evening in term time all year.

Post Beginners classes: If you have some knowledge of Modern Greek and would like to learn more, this is a great opportunity to join us for classes which will meet once a week, in the evening, during term time and will combine language learning with some cultural content in a friendly atmosphere.
The course is taught by a Greek native-speaker.

For Beginners: designed for students with no previous knowledge of modern Greek you will develop a basic knowledge of Greek vocabulary and grammar, and develop skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will also be introduced to some key features of Greek culture. The course is taught by a Greek native-speaker.

‘A remarkable Roman-era archaeological complex discovered beneath Vasilissis Olgas Avenue in central Athens will be restored and presented to the public, providing visitors with a new view of the city’s history from the classical period through Late Antiquity and the Byzantine era.’

A new archaeological site is bringing Athens' Roman past into sharper focus. Excavations are revealing a part of the city that shows how Athens continued to develop and flourish centuries after its classical golden age, offering a closer look at everyday life in Roman Athens.
