Preps Garda Visit
Preps were visited by the Garda Armed Support Unit earlier this week. Our students had the opportunity to ask lots of questions about the unit and what the job entails. They also learnt about many of the tools used on a call-out. It was a brilliant morning with lots of excitement for inquisitive minds. A big thank you to our visitors from the Garda Armed Support Unit.

Girls Rugby
1st Year Girls Rugby Blitz
A fantastic day of rugby for our 1st Year girls at their Leinster blitz! The girls showed great enthusiasm, teamwork and determination throughout the day, with some excellent attacking play and plenty of tries.
A special mention goes to Lucy (6 tries), Lydia (3), Caoilinn (3), Mackenzie (2), Ameerah (2), Sasha (2) and Abigail (2) for their fantastic finishing. Effie, Emelia and Robyn also put in excellent performances and contributed brilliantly to the team effort.
It was brilliant to see the girls supporting each other, working hard and showcasing their skills. A great day out for our 1st Year squad — well done, girls!

The Countdown is On: All-Ireland Schoolboys Hockey Championship

Just 12 days to go until our Senior Boys 1st XI head to Cookstown for the All-Ireland Schoolboys Hockey Championship, taking place from 21-23rd October.

The squad received their All-Ireland jerseys this week, as pictured above, as preparations continue for three days of hockey on the national stage. The team will be led by Captain Jake Fulton, alongside Vice Captains Simon Montgomery and Conor Fox.

The boys begin their campaign against RBAI on Wednesday, 21st October, before facing Newtown and Cookstown on Thursday, with the semi-finals and finals taking place on Friday.

Best of luck to the squad as the final preparations get underway! More information on fixtures and the tournament will be shared over the coming days.

TY Sleepout
Wesley College is delighted to be taking part in our 6th Annual TY Sleepout, an evening dedicated to raising awareness and much-needed funds to support people experiencing homelessness in Dublin and across Ireland.
On Friday, 16th October 2026, Transition Year students will swap their warm beds for sleeping bags and spend the night outdoors. While one night outside can never truly reflect the experience of someone facing homelessness, we hope that the Sleepout will give us an opportunity to step outside our comfort zone, develop empathy and understand some of the challenges faced by people who have no place to call home.
We are asking our wonderful Wesley families, friends and wider community to get behind us and support us with a donation. Every contribution, big or small, can make a difference. Thank you for your kindness, generosity and continued support. The link to donate is https://gofund.me/551be5d12. Together, we can make this year’s TY Sleepout our most successful one yet!
