Thinking about learning Greek next summer? The next International Byzantine Greek Summer School will take place online 20–31 July 2026 (Beginners) and 3–14 August 2026 (Intermediate and Advanced). We will open for applications in January 2026. For queries contact [email protected].

We have been silently busy the past 3 weeks, enjoying the hustle and bustle of over 250 hours of Greek teaching (!), and so July has become August. Did you know that in the Byzantine liturgical calendar, August concludes the ecclesiastical year, marked by the dormition of the Παναγία Θεοτόκος on the 15th, while in the Irish calendar it starts the autumn?
