These are some of the books that inspire my journaling practice:

1. Mind Over Mood by Dennis Greenberger, PHD and Christine Padesky, PHD

This book helps me to discover how there can be little evidence to support the hot’ thoughts that upset me.

2. The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron

This book taught me how to journal without lifting my pen from the page, which silences the inner critic - an invaluable gift!

3 Recovery of Your Inner Child by Lucia Capacchione, PHD

This book taught me how to communicate with my younger self by writing with my non-dominant hand.

4. Whole Brain Living by Jill Bolte Taylor, PHD

This fascinating book teaches me about different parts of my brain and how to recognise which part is running the show (often without my knowledge).

5. The Myth of Normal by Gabor Maté

This book teaches me how to explore why I sometimes say yes when I mean no, and what that means in relation limiting beliefs.

6. Into the Magic Shop by James R. Doty, PHD

This beautiful book teaches me how to create visions for my life in a whole hearted and kind way. I’ll be talking about these books and more at my upcoming journaling workshops. Link in the bio.

I can't wait for my Adult Journaling Workshop Ardgillan Castle on Sunday 30th August from 11- 3.30pm.
Journaling is a wonderful tool we can use to support ourselves, especially during times of stress.
This workshop is an opportunity to learn and practice journaling tools for everyday life. There will be exercises to calm a busy mind, to help identify what we feel and why, and exercises to work with different parts of the brain.
We will learn to write about what we appreciate about ourselves. This can be difficult at first but becomes easier with practice. And we’ll explore what we’d like to create in our lives and, most importantly, how we want to feel.
All you need to bring is an open mind/ heart, and a notebook (or laptop).

Do you know a teenager or child who is anxious about returning to school? If so, they may like me find journaling hugely beneficial. I’m offering a live online journaling workshop for relieving anxiety and managing stress. I’ve been journaling since I was twelve years old and as an anxious child/ teen with ADHD it helped me to navigate the bumpy parts of life. In this workshop I offer simple exercises to process emotions, de-clutter a busy mind and create visions for our lives. Online workshops take place for teenagers on 21st and for children on 25th August. All info is on my website MeganWynne.com # mentalhealth

I’m so excited to be offering a day long Journaling Workshop in Ardgillan Castle on Sunday 30th August from 11am-3.30pm. I’ll be sharing all the journaling tools I use to keep me sane (ish). How I de/clutter the mind to focus, process emotions to sleep better and understand myself better. It will be a day to think about what you’d like to envision for your life and how to help yourself during the bumpy times. I’d love to see you there. For adults 16+
