The Dublin Water Safety team @ the NAC aim to teach people the life saving skills they need in a fun relaxed environment
Irish Water Safety is the statutory body established to promote water safety in Ireland. Our role is to educate people in water safety best practices. We develop public awareness campaigns to promote necessary attitudes, rescue skills and behaviour to prevent drownings and water related accidents.

Sunday is World Drowning Prevention Day. Give drowning prevention and water safety the focus you give Covid-19. Always wear a lifejacket when paddle boarding and make sure it has a correctly fitting crotch strap. Check local tides, currents and weather forecasts before going out.

Helping young children stay safe from drowning - Water Safety Ireland has just launched a water safety resource to over 4,000 Early Learning and Care centres nationwide, delivered by post as part of National Water Safety Awareness Week: www.holdhands.ie.
