Our little and cosy school is the right place for those who want to experience the joy of creating by learning to draw, to paint, to mould and do lots of other fantastic things. Creativity is one of the basic human features that should be nurtured from an early age; creativity leads to developing a strong personality. There are options available for every level of experience: from beginners, who
are taking their first steps in creative expression to more advanced and experienced students. “Young Artists Corner” is there to provide various forms of "quick take" opportunities from an adventure in art appreciation to an afternoon of hands-on engagement in different art forms. We are passionate about art and learning to draw & paint. Our classes are enjoyable, informative, practical and tailored to suit your needs. The variety of art and craft techniques offered in our school will keep you entertained and wanting to come back for more, as it offers everything from learning basics to moving onto more advanced level of understanding and creating, using of wide variety of media: starting from watercolour to acrylics, pottery to mosaics, collage to papier mache, glass painting, card making, sketching and face painting, making of posters and the secrets of Origami only to name but a few.
60 minute art and craft classes of up to about 8 children, aged between 7 and 11 years are designed to be fun and educational and to ensure a balance between the innate abilities that all children possess while also creating a relaxed and fun learning environment that allows for natural and structured progression at their own pace. As all children are creative and love playing with drawing and painting, our aim is to build on this and to develop their abilities. No two children are the same nor are their abilities and these can differ from week to week. We work with and introduce them to different drawing, colouring and many more techniques, as our 10 week course offers:
• Painting in watercolours and acrylics;
• Sculpture/Ceramics, inc. ornamenting and colouring your creations,
also using of different type of glazes;
• Drawing on glass of your choice;
• Papier Mache;
• Drawing using crayons, chalk or oil pastels;
• Creating of posters;
• Making cards: folded ones or using application either of craft
materials or the ones of natural origin;
• Learning the shading technique using pencils;
• Simple or more advanced techniques of Origami;
• Face painting (with lots of laugh and unforgettable moments…..);
• Sketching;
• Drawing using charcoals;
• Learning to draw nature (flowers, fruits etc.) As our classes run throughout the year, your little artist has choice of joining us any time once there is a vacancy at your chosen time or continuing after the 10 week course to learn even more new and exciting things that will enrich their creative world to the maximum and will allow to express themselves and let their talent blossom and bloom with every lesson taken. Private One-to-One art lessons focus on the development of visual ideas and skills leading to the creation of a body of work. Emphasis will be placed on the development of drawing and observational skills and use of different media. At the beginning we will need to discuss what your aim and final goal is and to assess your abilities, but no matter whether you are just starting out with drawing or already have experience and want to further deepen your skills there is something for each of you, Little Artist! These art lessons are designed to suit all levels of ability and can serve as an introduction to, or development of a particular media/subject. A full, step-by-step demonstration is included as part of every lesson. All students will be tutored on an individual basis and the advantage of working in this method is that it allows us to concentrate on your needs and work to fill in any gaps in your knowledge of one or another technique at the same time meaning that you will have all the attention of the teacher. Workshops and camps offer an intensive experience that will give our little students information to distil and practice for months and even years afterwards. A wide variety of disciplines and media are offered. Taught with patience, humour, and practical goal that you will be able to enjoy drawing for the rest of your life. Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners and those who wish to refresh their drawing skills, also helping to guide you towards your own personal style.
