We are pleased to announce the 2025 Taiwan-Ireland Poetry Translation Competition. This year's chosen poem is 'Like a Song – to 107 year-old Mumu on her Journey', by D**g Shu-Ming. The competition is open to translators around the world, whether they are students, professional translators or simply passionate about poetry. The closing date for submissions is 10 September 2025.

Last Thursday the Director Marco Gioacchini, together with Japanese Ambassador Maruyama and Prof. Giorgio Amitrano (Univ. Orientale di Napoli) took part in the international Conference entitled “What We Talk About When We Talk About Haruki Murakami’s Translators: Their Roles and Significance” at Trinity Centre for Literary and Cultural Translation in Dublin.

Prof. Amitrano, keynote speaker of the conference, gave a lecture about "Circuits of the Mind: Inside and Outside Murakami Haruki".
