Five researchers from Center for Ecological-Noosphere Studies (CENS) of National Academy of Sciences of Armenia have visited GPEP in scope of FP7 EcoArm2ERA project. CENS is the main beneficiary of the project and directly supported through its European twinning partners: UCD School of Geography, Planning & Environmental Policy and Institute of Environmental Sciences, University of Geneva. Dr Lilit Sahakyan, Deputy Director of the CENS and Dr Shushanik Asmaryan, Head of the GIS & Remote Sensing Department gave a lunchtime seminar as part of the UCD Earth Institute seminar series. Dr Harutyun Shahumyan from GPEP conducted a practical workshop for the visitors on application of the land use modelling supporting decision makers.
