Message from Jasmine Patel-Bolger, CDS student seeking respondents to her survey.

Re: The use of cyberspace in the empowerment and personal liberation of young Deaf Irish people.

I am writing to you to ask for your assistance in inviting current and former students to participate in a study I am carrying out for my dissertation as part of my final year project for my Bachelor in Deaf Studies.

My goal is to collect data from Deaf individuals aged between 18 and 35 via an online survey.

My research focuses on the empowerment and personal liberation of young Deaf Irish people through the use of online resources. I am hoping to determine more closely how young Deaf Irish people use the internet/cyberspace. In doing this, I hope to gain some insight as to the positives and negatives of the use of the internet/cyberspace for the young Deaf individual from the answers in the survey provided.

If you have any questions about my research, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected].
