The University Philosophical Society presents the 20th Annual PhilSpeaks Senior Schools Mace!
This two-day debating competition will be the biggest for secondary school students this year, so you won't want to miss it!
It will take place on March 1st-2nd and is for 4th, 5th, and 6th year students.
Schools must register teams to compete. There is no limit to the amount of teams a school can send.

Our Kate Maher Cup is back! This is a speech competition for secondary school students who identify as women or as a gender minority.
Entries must be submitted by February 22nd.

Hello everyone,

We hope you enjoyed the Philspeaks Pro-Am 2020 competition that took place last Monday! Here’s our first volume of the new Philspeaks newsletter, that details all the motions we debated in the competition, with analysis tips and general feedback.

We will be having workshops in the new year with more volumes of the newsletter on the way, so do keep an eye out on that. Meet the Philspeaks class of 2020 with their graduation certificates! Today marks the end of the second inaugural Philspeaks x Trinity Access Programme week. Over the last 5 days, Team Schools has had the pleasure to work with 25 brilliant students to learn about debating, public speaking, photography, graphic design, access to education, society life in Trinity and much more! We've had a jam packed 5 days of activities and we can't wait to do it all again next year - we couldn't do it without our fantastic volunteers and the support of Trinity's other great clubs and societies.
