Meet our mandate 2022/23 🔹- Our Co-Chair Oisín Hedderman

“Hey guys! I’m Oisín and this year it’s a great privilege to co-chair PSI SAG. It is my second year as part of PSI SAG. I’m excited about how the year will shape up because of the incredible committee we have. There’s plenty of ideas planned for the upcoming mandate, Keep your eyes peeled!! I am most excited about meeting more individuals in the psychological community and in particular the early career psychology community.”

Meet our mandate 2022/23 🔹- Our Co-Chair Rebecca Nolan

“Rebecca Nolan is a BA (Hons) Psychology student in the South East Technological University Waterford Campus. Rebecca recently Co-Chaired the annual student psychology conference, she volunteers with several mental health organisations and runs the SETU Psychological Society in Waterford. Rebecca is heading into her final year in SETU and is strongly passionate about Forensic Psychology. Rebecca hopes to go on to complete her Masters and continue research in the area of forensic psychology in the near future.”

Academic Research in Psychology | Event | PSI 18/10/2021

Another event coming up! On November 3rd we will be welcoming Dr. Laura K Taylor and Ms Alison Stapleton for a discussion regarding Academic Research in Psychology.

This event will give insights into careers in psychological research with the aim of giving students a greater understanding of the options that are available to them and what careers in research have to offer. Registration is free for PSI members and €10 for non-members.

New Event Alert! The professional doctorates panel is back 👏🏼

This event will give attendees an opportunity to learn more about the main doctoral programmes available in psychology: Clinical, Educational, and Counselling.

Our speakers will describe their experiences leading up to the doctorate, the application/interview process, what studying at doctoral level is like, placements, and more.

The aim of the event is for students to gain a greater understanding of what options are available to them, and what they can expect from pursuing a professional doctorate in psychology.
