NCI 75th Anniversary Garden Party 🌿
We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon in the Jesuit Walled Garden at Milltown Park as colleagues from across the College came together to celebrate this milestone year.
With great conversation, a touch of sunshine and plenty of food and music, it was a lovely opportunity to connect and enjoy a relaxed celebration of 75 years of NCI.
A sincere thank you to everyone involved in organising and supporting the event, it was a memorable afternoon that truly reflected the strong sense of community at NCI.

Spring 2026 marked an exciting semester for NCI students in the School of Computing with the Laya x NCI Innovation Hackathon with the challenge culminating on 1st of April.
We are delighted to announce that out of the 7 projects, 2 will continue to gain work experience with Laya while completing their studies, affording them the opportunity to build portfolio-ready projects invaluable as they continue to pursue their career goals.
Sudeep A***n Gaddameedi, a student of MSc in Artificial Intelligence, has been awarded a paid internship with Laya:
“I can’t wait to take up this position with Laya, I am thrilled! The whole experience, from real employer brief through supported project prep was brilliant, but for my work to be recognised with this appointment is really special. I’d like to thank Caroline and Anu for this incredible opportunity – thank you NCI!”
We would like to thank Laya Healthcare for their continued support of our School of Computing, most recently also sponsoring an award at our Project Showcase.

Team NCI were delighted to attend the Irish Learning Technology Association (ILTA) Annual EdTech conference at Dublin City University's (DCU) St Patrick's Campus last week to present 'Success story - National College of Ireland: Turning attendance data into early intervention at scale'.
This presentation explored the introduction of new software, delivered in partnership with SEAtS ONE which monitors student attendance and engagement allowing for earlier intervention to disengaged students. The project was rolled out earlier this year.
A huge congratulations to Karen Mooney and Stephen Cleary for their ongoing work in the area.
