I am SO tired of rabbit owners being blamed when bonding doesn’t go perfectly.
If your rabbits mounted, chased, nipped, fur pulled or even tried to fight when introduced…
that does NOT mean you “raised them wrong" or you are somehow at fault!
Rabbit bonding is complex.
It is nuanced.
And a lot of the advice online massively oversimplifies it.
Putting two rabbits together and having them calmly sniff each other for 30 seconds is NOT what most real-life bonding journeys look like.
Most owners I support already feel guilty, overwhelmed and terrified they’ve ruined everything before they even come to me.
You have not failed your rabbits.
Bonding is about learning to read behaviour, knowing when to step in and when to step back, and adjusting the process to the rabbits in front of you.
Please stop shaming rabbit owners for struggling with rabbit bonding 🤍
