We at Dublin Brass Week are mourning the loss today of the incredible John Wallace. An inspiration to so many musicians who had the privilege to know him, John was Honorary President of Dublin Brass Week since its inception in 2013 and had strong connections to Ireland throughout his life and career. We have lost a truly monumental trumpeter, musician and human being. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam

Returning Participant Feature - Jack Cullen

We caught up with Jack this week ahead of DBW23. We asked him what he enjoys about the festival and what he’s looking forward to this year. See what he says below:

Having taken part in DBW on four occasions now, it gives me great pride in seeing such a prominent brass festival right on my front doorstep. The visiting artists are some of the best in the world, and we are so fortunate to get the chance to work with them. I am very much looking forward to a week of education, exceptional music making, and exceptional craic!

As Jack mentioned above, this will be his 4th year at DBW! Take a look at him at our first Tuba course in 2017.

Hear Jack in concert with all our Active and Academy participants on Thursday evening at The Pepper Canister Church.
