We are interested in the developing brain and how it changes from childhood to adulthood, especially in the presence of mental health difficulties.

IMMAlab is a research group based at Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience. We use neuroimaging to study how the brain develops and to better understand why, when, and in whom mental health difficulties emerge. The purpose of this page is to keep the public updated on the research that is ongoing within our group and also to inform of any events which may be of interest. We are always looking

Our research intern Beth about to head off on a recruitment drive around Dublin city centre!

We are looking for females aged between 13 and 19 years who are currently experiencing symptoms of depression, such as feelings of sadness and irritability, to take part in our study: Coping, Mental Health, and Brain Development.

Participants will be asked to come to our research offices in Trinity College Dublin with their parent or guardian to complete a set of assessments and questionnaires about their behaviour and emotions. The study also involves a non-invasive brain scan (MRI).

Participants will receive €20 and a picture (jpg) of their brain.

Do you have a teenage daughter who is experiencing mental health difficulties related to depression?

IMMAlab at Trinity College Dublin are seeking girls aged 13-18 for a research study on mental health difficulties during adolescence.

Participation involves attending Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience to compete some computerised assessments and a brain imaging scan (MRI). Participants receive €20 and a picture of their brain.

**Unfortunately** we are unable to include those currently taking medication (e.g., SSRIs). Also, participants need to be able to undergo an MRI, so braces or other metal objects in the body are exclusionary.

For more information, please get in touch with our team at 085 833 4160 or [email protected].
