Want to build your own website or learn how to update your existing WordPress website?
Give me a ring, I'm Julie and I offer general WordPress Starter and Advanced group courses and customised WordPress Staff Training in Ireland since 2010. We offer WordPress Starter and Advanced Courses in Dublin for people who are interested in creating their own blog or website, or would like to learn how to update an existing WordPress based website. Our clients at WordPress Training Ireland ran
ge from charities and self employed individuals to financial services providers, schools and colleges, clinics, property developers and large organisations such as KPMG, Fineos and the Houses of the Oireachtas. The courses are of particular interest to start-ups, small businesses, non-profit organisations, clubs and groups, or anybody who does not have the resources to hire a web master, and would like to get a web presence and be able to update their website by themselves. In our 4 hour WordPress Starter Course participants learn how to change themes and widgets, and how to create posts on their blog and static pages like on a normal website. After the course you will be able to upload photos to your posts and pages, create galleries and slide shows from them and create a navigation bar, categories and tags. You will also learn how to change personal settings, allow or disallow comments and how to fight spam. In the 6 hour WordPress Advanced Course will cover synchronising WordPress accounts to get more visibility through Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook, inserting 'Follow us' buttons, embedding Pinterest, Instagram and Youtube videos, customising the navigation bar, removing comments from static pages, SEO myths and reality, adding social media icons, sharing buttons and PayPal buttons, creating a contact form, uploading a blog icon, adding google maps, using Avatars in comments, editing photos for the web, using featured images, adding a portfolio, specifying a new landing page and how to get rid of 'WordPress' in your domain name. This training is tailored to WordPress.com accounts, most topics covered on the day are also relevant to WordPress.org accounts, however some of them would need the installation of certain plugins such as jetpack. Websites built in WordPress are:
º Effective - loved by search engines
º Affordable - less than €36/year, do all updates yourself without the help of a webmaster
º Hassle free - all updates and backups are taken care of
The Starter Course is priced at €149 and the Advanced Course at €199 per person and all courses are filled on a first come, first served basis. If you're interested please e-mail us at [email protected] for an early bird discount.
