CCT College Dublin was delighted this semester to announce the opening of a second campus building in the very heart of Dublin city centre, located just off O'Connell Bridge and less than one minute walk from our main campus building on Westmoreland Street. The College has invested significantly in this additional overflow learning space to include state of the art classrooms, faculty space and student study, lounge and eating areas. And all with universal accessibility at the core of this renovation.

The College now occupies the first floor of Astor Hall, 4-8 Eden Quay, Dublin 1. This project afforded the CCT facilities team the opportunity, along with a wide-ranging expert contractors team, to bring this space from a complete shell of a floor space into an innovative, dynamic, comfortable and vibrant learning environment.

CCT College Dublin recently completed its CINNTE Institution Review expert panel visit, an advanced stage of this important process and engagement managed by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), on behalf of the Irish State.

This process kicked off a couple of years back but in truth it is a project the College has been in preparation for over a number of years. The CINNTE project is a whole-institution review and we were delighted to showcase just how collaborative, collegial and special the CCT team is. Staff, Students and external stakeholders, advisors and post-holders were all simply amazing.

We are delighted to report that the CINNTE Review has been a very positive experience for us thus far.

Commendations received included positive reference to our organisational culture, our transparent and high standard approach in relation to all documentation submitted to QQI, commitment to student partnership and continuous academic development and excellence in teaching and assessment, along with extensive student supports and services. The College is particularly heartened here, as the commendations are steeped in the values underpinning the Institution.

Heartfelt pride is burning brightly for us all as we are part of an experienced, adept, student-centred and compassionate team, and now we keep going with confidence, respect, humility and humanity in a steady growth trajectory with students at the core of all we do. This is a significant milestone in the development of the College, and an important moment to reflect on what has been achieved thus far by the CCT Community.

We are also very grateful to QQI and the QQI-convened CINNTE Review Team for their time, commitment, and expert insight throughout the process, serving as adept, fair and thorough critical friends.

On Wednesday next March 25th, the HECA Healthy Campus Forum 2026 brings together students and academic staff from across Ireland's private and independent higher education institutions for a focused exploration of resilience, loneliness and wellbeing in an increasingly Al-rich world.

As artificial intelligence becomes more embedded in learning, assessment, communication and daily campus life, important questions are emerging about human connection, belonging and balance. This forum will explore how higher education can strengthen resilient, healthy communities while navigating rapid technological change.

* Rob Mulcahy - Head of Athletic
