Today our Ember leaders had their Ember training with Sr. Kathleen. The day concluded with a beautiful Commissioning Ceremony as they now embark as leaders of the light within our school community and the wider world. Thank you to Sr. Kathleen and to our Chaplain Ms.O’Dwyer for their invaluable support to our students. We look forward to the joy that their faith leadership will bring in the year ahead.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Loreto Beaufort! Festive cheer is aplenty with the emergence of fairy lights, Christmas trees and even some elves making mischief! ‘Tis the season...🎄

Congratulations to our 4th Year student, Eve Tierney, pictured here with the Lord Mayor of Dublin, whose winning artwork will feature in the ‘Winter Lights’ exhibition in Merrion Square and also on the Mayor’s official Christmas Cards ‘23. 👏

This afternoon we were very excited to launch our “Pop the Campaign” question as part of our SSE targets and Forbairt project. There were plenty of pop-themed treats to enjoy as students and teachers teamed up to mark the beginning of a new journey for teaching and learning in Loreto Beaufort. Learn to question, question to learn!

Today we met with our Class Prefects to consult with them on one of our SSE targets for this year. We asked them to consider effective questioning as an active learning methodology and how it impacts on their learner experience. We also discussed it in a staff session during lunchtime and populated our school notice boards with our three SSE pillars so that our whole school community can become aware and get engaged! Exciting times ahead!
