UCD -Vis Moot Team

A very different but invaluable experience at the 27th Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. We may not have been able to travel to Vienna but we feel very grateful to compete in the competition virtually. Kudos to the Vis Moot organisers Patrizia Netal Christopher Kee & Stefan Kröll for pulling off the impossible. A huge thank you to all the arbitrators for logging in from all over the world to facilitate this competition.

Last but not least!! Hugh McDonald is our seventh member.

Hugh did his BA in History and Politics and is now doing the Masters in Common Law.

He has an interest in Commercial Law and Dispute Resolution and hopes to train as a solicitor in the near future

His hobbies include basketball, reading and chess.

Ciarán Mallon is our sixth member.

Ciarán did his BA in History and Geography and is now doing the Masters in Common Law.

He hopes to train as a solicitor in the very near future and would also like to practice in the area of arbitration.

His hobbies include fishing, soccer and rugby.

Aoife Gunning is our fifth team member.

Aoife graduated with a degree in Economics and Politics in 2018 and is currently doing the Masters in Common Law.

She intends to become a corporate solicitor, working potentially in the property or construction law spheres.

When she's not thinking about law, Aoife enjoys running and bad reality TV shows.

Caoimhe is our fourth member of the team.
She holds a BA in History, Politics & International Relations and is now doing a Masters in Common Law.
Her specific areas of interest include human rights, criminal law and arbitration.
She hopes to continue her academic career exploring the use of arbitration to resolve business and human rights disputes.
Caoimhe also likes braving into the Irish sea for swims

Our third member is Robert Duff a.k.a Rob.
Rob did his BA in English and Film and is now completing the Masters in Common Law.
He hopes to go into academia in the future.
He also is very good at cooking and baking

Stephanie Ní Oisín is our second member.
Stephanie did her BA in English and Philosophy and is now doing the Masters in Common Law.
She hopes to continue a career in law in one or more of the following areas; criminal law, public and regulatory law, arbitration and family law.
Stephanie is fluent in Irish and hopes to use her knowledge of the language in her future career in law.

Introducing our first team member Theriz Von Mag-aso a.k.a Trizha.
Trizha did her BA in History and Philosophy and is now doing the Masters in Common Law.
She hopes to be among one of the first qualified Filipino solicitors in Ireland.
Trizha also likes dancing and watching Korean dramas!
