🇪🇺 Four Days in Brussels: culture, democracy and the people shaping Europe

Our first mission of E-CULTMAP – European Culture Maps has come to a close — four inspiring days of learning, cooperation and discovery that brought institutions, history and communities together. ✨🤝
From the European Parliament to the immersive House of European History, through the heart of the EU Quarter and the vibrant streets of Matongé, we explored places that narrate what Europe is today — and what it is becoming. 🏛️🌍🚶‍♀️

During this first phase, we also shaped the structure of the European Culture Maps and created the first Reference Cards — accessible tools that will support upcoming focus groups on:

🔹 European values
🔹 Fundamental rights
🔹 Cultural diversity
🔹 The EU decision-making process
🔹 Democratic participation

This project marks an important step for strengthening our partnership’s role within a European initiative that values local communities and the expertise built through daily engagement. It also reminds us that Europe is not just a place, but a shared journey of people, values and dialogue. We return with new tools, fresh perspectives and a stronger network. 💡🌐✨

We would like to send special thanks to EU About for their generous hosting and for creating an open, collaborative and inclusive environment for our activities. 🙌🤗

The project E-CULTMAP – Mapping European Identity through Cultural Narratives, implemented by:

🇮🇪 ISE - School of English (Ireland)
🇵🇱 Centrum Edukacji i Badań Społecznych (Poland)
🇮🇹 Cooperativa culturale Gioacchino Malavasi

is co-financed by the European Union within the Erasmus+ programme. 🇪🇺📚
