What a way to finish the year for our College captain, Conor Quinn won bronze medal in Senior boys shot putt at the Irish Schools topping off an immense contribution to Belvedere Athletics.

Well done to Ethan Thompson(left) and Dylan Jones ( right) who finished 3rd and 4th respectively in the Senior Boys Hammer. Rudiments student Oliver Cottrell had an impressive 24 hours, finished sixth in the Junior Boys Discus and 4th in the Junior Boys Shot putt.

Last photo is Belvedere Athletics Staff Mr. McCarthy and Mr. Conway pictured with Luke Mangan ( far right) OB 08 who was not only 2008 SCT winner but alsl won the Senior shot winner in 2008. He coaches the silver medalist in Junior Boys shot putt.

Massive congratulations to Charlie O'Neill who won the intermediate 3000m title at the Irish Schools today. A huge achievement!

Huge congratulations to Elements Students Hector O' Brien and Patrick Moloney. Hector won the Minor High Jump in incredible fashion and even had a really close attempt at the Irish schools record.

Patrick finished a brilliant 6th in his minor shot putt. Well done lads!

Passing Out and Graduation 2026:

Last Thursday May 14th we had a wonderful gathering of Rhetoric 2026 for their Passing Out Ceremony. The day began with a final gathering in Form classes, followed by class and year group photos in the Garden of Remembrance. We then had a formal awards ceremony in the O'Reilly Theatre followed by a lunch with Rhetoric 2026, staff and guests.

Recently the new College Captain and Officers were appointed. They will serve for the 2026/ 2027 academic year.

The new College Captain is Gavin Strutt, and his Officer team consists of Andrei Corut, Sam Kinsella, Matthew Daly, Tom Egan, and Tommy Cooke.
