Hi Everyone, I have some exciting news to share. I will be standing in my local elections for the Social Democrats. I won't be posting further about this on this page, but if you would like to find out more or follow my campaign, please follow the links below.

I'm excited to share that I’ve just been selected to stand as a Social Democrats candidate for the Bray West Area (which includes parts of Bray, Kilmacanoge & Enniskerry) in the upcoming local elections to Wicklow County Council.

I joined the Social Democrats because I believe in a fair and inclusive society that doesn’t leave anyone behind. This will be the focus of my campaign and work as a Councillor. I want to see real change in local housing provision and improved local investment in education, public services, healthcare, the environment, and transport.

If you have any questions, or would like to get involved in my campaign, I’d love to hear from you. You can follow the progress of my campaign on social media and support my campaign here -

She also spoke with DFI's Development Manager PJ Cleere, about the impact on communities of elections and the importance of disability votes.

And disability activist Carolyn Akintola from Dublin shares her experiences with elections and has the simple ask that there is 'nothing about us, without us' when it comes to disabled people and elections. Just ask!
