Congratulations to Sweetpea’s class of 2022 who graduated. We wish all them all the success in the next chapter of their journey. We would also like to thank all the parents and families for their support throughout the year. We hope you all have a great summer. 🎓🎉🥳

We had our annual trip to Dublin zoo on Thursday 🐒🦍🐘🐆
We had so much fun visiting all the animals! The weather was good to us and the rain stayed away. We had a lot of sleeping children on the bus on the way home! Thanks to all the extra staff that came with us! We are already looking forward to our next trip!

We went to the Clondalkin library to visit aoife and all the amazing staff there! We listened to aisling reading us her favourite stories and fo to explore the library and their amazing garden. We had so much fun and got to take home a book to read in school.

We had great fun in SweetPea celebrating. We made lots of fun crafts and baked green cookies! We had great fun dancing to irish music and getting our face paint done by loretta! ☘️

We would like to thank the generosity of all our families. We went with two car loads of donations over stColmcilles knocklyon primary school for the urgent Ukraine appeal. We had some great little helpers to load the cars. Like so many we at SweetPea pray and hope for all the people of Ukraine 🇺🇦

We had A lovely visit from Clondalkin librarian Aoife. Aoife taught us all about the library and how we can become members and gave us each an application form for our very own library card. Aoife brought some of her favourite books from the library and read them to us. We can’t wait for our trip to the Clondalkin library to visit Aoife and use our library cards to check out new books.

Santa’s elves have started arriving at SweetPea! Room 2 and room 3 had an elf delivery and the children in room 2 decided to name their elf “Mr Elf” and room 3 named their elf “Yoda Elf”. We are all very excited to see what adventures our elves get up to over the next few weeks and if we get anymore coming to visit 🎅🏻 🛷 🎄

This month room 3 have been learning and exploring outer space. They explored all the planets and how they are different.They became astronauts and learnt all about the first moon landing and made rockets to take them on their journey through space!. 🚀👨‍🚀🌕🌏🪐

Exploring space sparks imagination and ignites curiosity. Learning about space is all about the unknown, the what if’s? This helped support the children to become creative thinkers and to challenge and question the uncertainties.

Room 2 has been very busy exploring the outside world. They have created a nature corner in their room with all the things they collected on their adventures. A new class friend has arrived in room 2.. sammy the squirrel who is teaching the children to explore and expand their imaginations. 🐿 🍁

Room 3 were very busy exploring in the park this week. They have been learning all about Autumn and the changes in nature that it brings. They got messy with paint creating their autumn trees and they collected lots of treasure for their nature corner. 🍂 🌳 🦔
