This is an exciting 4-week online course in which all sessions and teaching practice preparation are delivered from Monday to Friday in the morning. Here at CES (in Dublin), the vast majority of our input sessions are delivered by our experienced tutors. While our candidates are given access to the official Cambridge platform and the resources on it, we feel that the more hands on work done during sessions is greatly appreciated by everyone. Candidates have contact and guidance with these tutors every workday throughout the course with lesson planning and teaching practice preparation. All Teaching Practice is delivered in online lessons with non-native English speaking students from around the world. Part time 10 week CELTA course:
28th June – 6th September (Dublin)
18th September - 4th December (Edinburgh)
27th September - 6th December (Dublin)
Candidates work asynchronously on course material during the week by using the official Cambridge online platform. Candidates are in contact with our online tutor who monitors progress and assists with guided lesson planning throughout the week. There is no set time each day when one needs to work through the course material (although it is recommended to do 3 units per week (out of a total of 30 units). The CELTA certificate that all successful candidates will receive does not state the method in which the course was taken (i.e. full time, part time, or fully online).
