📚✨ Starting school is a BIG milestone — and the wonderful My Little Library 2026 campaign is here to help children and families prepare for the journey ahead! 🎒🏫
From 8th May 2026, children completing the ECCE programme and getting ready to start primary school can visit their local library and collect a FREE My Little Library book bag ❤️
Each bag includes:
📖 Books to keep
😊 Stories about starting school, friendships & emotions
👨👩👧 Helpful information for parents
🏛️ Resources about local library services
Libraries are a fantastic free resource for families, and this initiative is a lovely way to support children as they transition to “big school” 🌟
📌 If your child is starting school and has not received an invitation, that’s no problem. Pop down to your local library with some I.D. and tell the librarian your child’s date of birth and they will have your book bag and special library card ready.

The South Dublin County Childcare Committee (SDCCC) will be hosting an upcoming AIM Parent Information Session, and we would greatly appreciate your support in sharing this with families in your service.
This session is aimed at parents who may be applying, or who are considering applying, for AIM support this year for their child. It will provide clear, practical information on what AIM is, who it is for, and how to apply, along with an opportunity for parents to ask questions in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
There will also be time for informal chats over tea and coffee, and a chance for parents to connect with other families and meet SDCCC Development Officers.
We would be very grateful if you could help us spread the word about this workshop to other relevant parents by sharing this post.
