That’s exactly what the Emergency Ambulance Practitioner Pathway (EAPP) has been designed to do.

Instead of completing separate courses and trying to work out what comes next, EAPP brings the pathway together into one structured programme, taking you from your starting point through to a qualified AAP.

🟢 1-Day CPC Course – €280
Suitable for eligible registered healthcare professionals who require professional development in phlebotomy and cannulation.
No clinical placement included.

🔵 2-Day Course – €555
A more comprehensive training pathway with a supervised clinical placement pathway available at an additional cost, subject to eligibility, Garda vetting and placement availability.

Course content includes:
✔️ Anatomy & physiology
✔️ Venepuncture techniques
✔️ Peripheral IV cannulation
✔️ Infection prevention & control
✔️ Equipment selection and preparation
✔️ Complications and troubleshooting
✔️ Practical hands-on training and peer practice
✔️ Safe clinical practice and documentation

🎓 CLINICAL PLACEMENT PATHWAY

Eligible participants completing the 2-day programme can progress to supervised clinical placement at an approved clinical site.

This provides the opportunity to gain real-world supervised experience performing venepuncture, with a Competency Certificate issued following successful placement and supervisor sign-off.

Clinical placement is an additional cost and is subject to eligibility, Garda vetting, completion of required prerequisites and placement availability.
