The Red Door School is located in Monkstown, Co. Dublin and caters to autistic children ages 4-18. The school has onsite beviour support.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience working in a high support environment with children with autism. Training on behaviour supports and skills teaching will be provided in school.
This position is open to those registered with the Teaching council.

The Red Door School are seeking to appoint 2 bus es**rts commencing as soon as possible. The es**rt will accompany pupils on specialised bus transport from their homes to and from school.
The buses operates between;
Ticknock Hill area – Monkstown
Johnstown Dun Laoghaire - Monkstown
These positions will start in late August 2024.
We are also seeking a panel of es**rts to provide long and short term relief cover on other routes. Routes are subject to change based on pupil addresses.
The contract is subject to change should pupils join/leave the service. Es**rts must have their own transport to and from the first drop off point.
The es**rt is responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seatbelts.
Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.
Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references.
Salary is €13.40 per hour processed fortnightly and only during term time. Es**rts are not paid during but receive holiday pay instead.

This notice is being posted on social media due to technical difficulties o the school website;
The following is the Annual Admissions Notice for applications to The Red Door School for the school
year September 2022-June 2023
Applications will be accepted from 9am 31st January 2022 up to 15:00 on Friday 4th March 2022.
An application will be valid when the documents listed below have been received by the school by the final
date for receipt of applications outlined in this notice
1. Fully completed application form signed by one or both parents / guardians
2. A birth cert for the student
3. Proof of address for the student (utility bill, social welfare letter or similar, dated within the last four
months)
4. Psychological assessment (completed not more that 2 years earlier). It is important that this report clarifies
the child’s diagnosis, cognitive level of functioning of the student, recommendation for special school
placement and level of SNA support required by the child if it is considered the child requires more support
than SERC ratio for ASD class.
The applicant shall be notified of the decision of their application within 21 days of the closing date
for applications.
The applicant must confirm in writing their intention to accept the offer of admission within 7 days
of the decision date.
Unsuccessful applications may appeal in the first instance to the BOM within 10 days of the decision
notification and afterwards to the DES in Section.29 Appeal.

Today is World Earth Day and what better day to send a thank you for the generous gift of a tree planted for our students to celebrate our new building. It will grow with us as we develop in our new school!
