📸 A few moments from our inaugural Voiceover Ireland event! 🎙️🇮🇪

What a day.

We’re still taking it all in, but looking back at some of these photos, we’re reminded of exactly why we wanted to create Voiceover Ireland in the first place.

A space for voice artists, actors, directors, professionals, producers and everyone working across the voiceover industry to meet, communicate, share knowledge and build relationships. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU?

A huge, heartfelt thank you to every single person who came along and helped make our very first event so special.

And an enormous thank you to our incredible speakers and panel guests for generously sharing their experience, knowledge, stories and advice.

❤️ Our speakers:

🎙️ Kairen Waloch, Lorraine Lordan, Mick Creedon, Colm O'Rourke, Conor Reid, Dee Reddy, Greg Malocca, and the indomitable Gerry O'Brien.

Your time, honesty and generosity made the day what it was.

And to everyone who travelled, took a chance on a brand-new event, introduced themselves to someone they’d never met, joined a conversation, asked a question or simply came along to be part of it…

Thank you.

Massive thanks to Joe at Rascals Brewery, the Dot Theatre for backing this initiative, to the Brilliant team at the Grand Social particularly Kieran and Hugh Edwards at Gravy For The Brain.
Also big shout out to Woyteck at Pot of Gold productions. Brilliant assistance from Oonagh, Dan and Kendal for photos and Amin. Thanks so much.

This is only the beginning. We are here to stay.

We’re incredibly proud of what we started yesterday, and even more excited about where Voiceover Ireland can go from here.

Here’s to building a stronger, more connected voiceover community in Ireland.

Let’s communicate. 🎙️🇮🇪

We're absolutely delighted to announce that Gerry O'Brien will be joining us as a guest speaker at the inaugural Voiceover Ireland networking and professional development event.

With a remarkable career spanning more than five decades, Gerry is one of Ireland's most respected actors and voice artists. His screen credits include Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, King Arthur, Lassie, Veronica Guerin, The Tudors, Holby City, Mystic Knights of Tir na Nog, Strumpet City, and many more.

As a voiceover artist, Gerry's unmistakable Irish voice has been heard around the world through major campaigns for Trivago, BMW, and Kellogg's, while his extensive narration work includes audiobooks, documentaries, radio drama, and productions for both RTÉ and the BBC.

Gerry's career began on the stage at Dublin's Gate Theatre in 1970, and he has since performed at virtually every major theatre in Ireland, including the Abbey Theatre, bringing to life works by Shakespeare, W.B. Yeats, Samuel Beckett, Brian Friel, and many others.

In addition to his distinguished acting and voiceover career, Gerry also serves as President of Irish Equity, advocating for performers across Ireland.

This is a fantastic opportunity to hear from a true industry veteran whose experience spans theatre, film, television, radio, and commercial voiceover. 24 HOURS TO GO.

Tomorrow, something special begins.

To the best of our knowledge, this is the first event of its kind dedicated to bringing Ireland's voiceover community together under one roof. And that's exactly why you should be there.

Not because you're guaranteed your next job tomorrow.

But because you might meet the person who changes your career six months from now.
Networking isn't about collecting business cards. It's about building genuine relationships.

*The colleague who lends you a studio when yours lets you down.
*The writer you collaborate with on an audio drama.
*The director who remembers your name months later.
*The voice actor who recommends you for a job they can't take.
*The friend who knows someone, who knows someone, who opens a door you never expected.

We've seen it happen.

Through our work co-founding Film Network Ireland and KinoD, we've spent more than 15 years creating networking events, both in person and online, for the film, television and audio industries. Without exaggeration, we've welcomed thousands upon thousands of participants, and we've watched conversations become collaborations, introductions become opportunities, and strangers become lifelong creative partners.

That's why we believe so strongly in Voiceover Ireland.
This isn't just about one day.

It's about creating a community that will support, inspire and champion one another for years to come.

Come along. Introduce yourself. Share your story. Listen to others. Be heard.

You never know where one conversation might lead.

Let's build something together.

See you tomorrow.

Voiceover Ireland. Let's Communicate.

We're delighted to announce Kairen Waloch as one of our guest speakers at the inaugural Voiceover Ireland networking and professional development event.

With over two decades of experience in animation voice production, Kairen brings a unique perspective from behind the microphone, working at the heart of some of Ireland's most celebrated animated productions. Her wealth of knowledge across voice casting, voice direction and recording makes her one of the industry's most respected professionals.

Kairen Waloch has worked in animation voice production for over two decades, with experience spanning voice casting, voice recording coordination and voice direction.

Her credits include voice recording coordination on Cartoon Saloon's Oscar-nominated The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea and Wolfwalkers, and script supervision for the US voice recordings of My Father's Dragon. As a voice director and casting director, Kairen has worked on the animated feature Fritzi: A Miraculous Revolutionary Tale, directed voice performances on animated television projects, cast the award-winning animated short Eiru, and most recently provided voice casting for a new children's television series.

Kairen's experience comes from working at the meeting point between casting, performance and the logistics of recording; understanding how creative choices, communication and collaboration help bring animated characters to life.

Whether you're interested in animation, voice performance or gaining a deeper understanding of the casting and recording process, Kairen's session promises to offer invaluable insights from one of the industry's leading professionals.

We're thrilled to welcome Kairen to Voiceover Ireland.

See you on Saturday.

If them... why not me?

Every career starts somewhere. Every opportunity begins with someone deciding to show up.

A huge percentage of success isn't just talent. It's being in the room. It's keeping an open mind. It's putting your hand out to introduce yourself. It's stepping outside your comfort zone and having conversations that could change the direction of your career.

Whether you're just starting out or already working professionally, there's always something to learn and someone new to meet.

This Saturday, we'll make a little bit of history together at Voiceover Ireland's very first networking and professional development event.

Come curious. Come ambitious. Just come.

See you on Saturday. 👇

❤️ Kind words go a long way. Especially at the right time. Was kindly given permission to share this. Thank you.

Launching something new is exciting, but it also comes with plenty of uncertainty. You spend months planning, reaching out to people, solving problems behind the scenes and hoping that your vision resonates with others.

Over the past few weeks, the messages, comments and words of encouragement we've received about Voiceover Ireland have meant more than you know.

Whether you've bought a ticket, shared one of our posts, recommended the event to a friend, agreed to speak, or simply taken the time to wish us well, thank you.

Communities aren't built by one person. They're built by people who believe in an idea and choose to support it.

Voiceover Ireland was created to bring together voice actors, actors, casting professionals, directors, producers, studio owners, podcasters, audio professionals and everyone passionate about the art of voice. Seeing so many people get behind that vision has been incredibly encouraging. And were soildering on. Despite some skeptical people.

We hope this is just the beginning of something that will benefit our industry for years to come.

Thank you for believing in us. We can't wait to welcome you all this Saturday at The Grand Social, Dublin.
