Customer feedback creates value when it changes what happens next.

This CX Day, we’re celebrating the people who make that happen.

At IMI, listening to our participants, members and clients helps us understand what matters most: learning that’s relevant, support that makes a difference and ideas people can put into practice.

Acting on those insights helps us improve how we support individuals and organisations to grow.

Thank you to everyone who shares their experience with us, and to our colleagues who turn that feedback into action.

Ireland’s ambition depends on its ability to deliver.

Former Taoiseach Leo Varadkar joined us at IMI’s National Leadership Summit last week. His concerns about Ireland’s infrastructure are covered in the Business Post, bringing the challenge of delivery into focus.

For leaders, the question is clear: how do we move from recognising the gaps to closing them?

What an incredible day at the Irish Management Institute for our annual National Leadership Summit.

This year’s theme, Rewiring Ireland. Leadership Matters., invited us to explore some of the most pressing opportunities and challenges facing our country. Across every conversation, one theme stood out: a belief in Ireland's potential. We were inspired by the openness, honesty and optimism of every speaker, each offering valuable perspectives on Ireland’s future and the leadership required to shape it.

We were joined by Sean O’Driscoll, Hilary O'Meara, Stephen Kent, Niall Gleeson, Alice Charles, Pia Lauritzen, PhD, and Leo Varadkar, alongside our MC Áine Kerr, IMI CEO Shane O'Sullivan, and Business Post Editor Daniel McConnell.

Over the coming days, we'll be sharing key insights and takeaways from each session. For now, we simply want to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who joined us, to our exceptional speakers, and to the many people behind the scenes whose hard work made the day such a success. A special thank you also to CCSL Catering for keeping us so well looked after throughout the day.

Career progression often rewards deep expertise. Senior responsibility demands something broader: the ability to understand how strategy, finance, marketing and people decisions connect.

The Professional Diploma in Management helps experienced professionals develop that organisation-wide perspective, strengthening their judgement, collaboration and contribution to senior-level decisions.

The programme is led by Eva Perez, an educator with over 20 years’ experience and extensive work as a consultant, coach and trainer. Eva brings particular expertise in strategic marketing and its impact on wider business strategy.

Coaching is often treated as a conversation skill. Done well, it’s a performance skill.

It helps people think more clearly, take greater ownership and make better decisions when the answer isn’t obvious.

IMI’s Professional Diploma in Executive Coaching combines evidence-based practice with supervised coaching and intensive feedback.

The results speak to its practical impact: 96% of participants gained new ways of thinking.

The next programme begins on 14 October at the IMI Campus, Dublin.

What a day last Friday was for IMI! We welcomed our newest graduates to campus to celebrate their achievements, announced 2 new Life Fellowships, and bid a sad farewell to one of IMI's most impressive Programme Directors.

Graduation is always a proud moment, a chance to recognise the commitment, ambition and hard work that each graduate has brought to their learning journey.

We also celebrated our new Life Fellows Imelda Hurley, CEO at Coillte and Terence O'Rourke, chairman at ESB and RTE in recognition of their outstanding contributions to leadership, business, and public life in Ireland.

We were delighted to welcome Michael Patten to present their Fellowships. Congratulations to Imelda and Terence, who now join a remarkable group of notable leaders.

As Phillip Matthews commences his retirement we took a moment to celebrate him during the ceremony. Phillip has been an integral part of IMI, particularly our Professional Diploma in Leadership for many years and we wish him well with his new adventures.

A huge congratulations to the graduates from the Professional Diploma in Executive Coaching, Professional Diploma in Leadership, Professional Diploma in Management, Professional Diploma in Strategy & Innovation, and the final cohort of the Master of Business Studies in Business Practice.

We’re delighted to celebrate these milestones with you all and excited to see where your learning takes you next.

AI leadership isn’t about turning everyone into a prompt engineer.

It’s about understanding where AI can add real value, how it will change the way people work and what capabilities your organisation will need next.

IMI’s Lead in AI programme helps leaders move beyond experimentation and build a practical approach to AI strategy, adoption and transformation.

Good intentions aren’t the same as informed support.

Autism presents differently for every individual. That means workplace support needs to be based on understanding, not assumptions.

IMI’s Supporting Those with Autism programme helps HR and L&D professionals recognise workplace barriers, advise managers with greater confidence and recommend support suited to the individual.

The programme combines six hours of self-paced learning with a live, one-to-one coaching session, helping participants apply what they’ve learned to a real workplace challenge.

Ten years in management. But still doing too much “on the fly”.

That’s what prompted Margaret Kennedy to join IMI’s Professional Diploma in Leadership.

The result? A powerful blend of leadership theory, practical skills and space to reflect, with learning she’s already applied to teamwork and change management.

“The practical experience that the facilitators brought was invaluable.”
