I’m not a fan of reinventing a new me for the new year, it’s so much pressure and let’s face it, it’s not going to happen! Instead I’ve been taking time to reflect on 2020- what I’ve learned & loved, what I’m grateful for & proud of & what i want to let go of. I am going to set goals for myself for 2021 but bearing in mind, procrastination mostly happens because we don’t know how to climb the massive mountain. If you feel like setting goals for 2021 - set yourself clear goals that are important to you but pair them with small specific steps that will get you there and build those steps into what you do daily, weekly and monthly

I find being fully present with something really focuses my mind and helps me in moments of stress and anxiety. Today felt like a long day so I went for a run, came home and picked up the pencil and my headspace shifted. #

Like most I’m sure, I have found the last two weeks challenging as we prepared for going back to school and Creche. It’s amazing for the kiddies to be back with their friends but my need for control is certainly being challenged. I’ve tried to focus on the things I can control and let go of the rest. I’ve also taken up a new drawing hobby to keep me sane 🙈

Feeling grateful getting to spend time with my family in cork. The last few months have really taught me to focus on appreciating the simple things

Whatever you are not changing, you are choosing. Sometimes as we go about our days, doing things on autopilot & often feeling unhappy, we forget we have the power to change things.

Resilience is something lots of us strive for and I love this quote. Fighting what’s already happened can take up so much energy. When we realise this and instead focus on what we can do it we see a real shift in our lives.
“Resilience is accepting your new reality, even if it’s less good than the one you had before. You can fight it, you can do nothing but scream about what you’ve lost or you can accept that and try to put something together that is good”.
