As the 2025/26 school year drew to a close today, we had a lot to celebrate with awards and medals to present.

Thank you to Dean, from Gaelbhratach, who joined us to celebrate raising the flag.

We said goodbye to our sixth class pupils today and we wish them all the very best as they begin their secondary education.

Emilda is also leaving us today to start her new school in September. She will be greatly missed and we wish her and her family well.

Thank you to our parents association as always for your support throughout the year.

🏆🏐🎉 League Champions 2026🎉🏐🏆

Congratulations to our school football team on winning the Division 6 Cumann na mBunscoil League Final this morning in Pairc Sean in Carrick on Shannon.

In what was a tough match at times, the boys and girls showed talent, grit and determination which ultimately won them the match. We are very proud of all the children for the respect, sportsmanship and dedication shown over the past number of months.

Thanks to Ballaghameehan NS for a great game.

Thanks to all of the parents and past pupils who travelled to Carrick to support the team and to the Parents Association for providing the treats after the game.

Finally, thank you again to Neat Heat Plumbing for our lovely new football kit. They really looked the part today.

🧪👩🏻‍🔬🧬Trip to University of Limerick 🧬👩🏻‍🔬👩🏻‍🔬

Our prize for winning "Best Overall School" at the recent STEMtacular science fair was a trip for the whole school to University of Limerick to visit the science block.

Today we got up bright and early and made our way to Limerick. We enjoyed an exciting magic science show before getting to do lots of experiments ourselves.

The university treated us to lunch. Dessert was a real treat where the children got to watch ice cream made using liquid nitrogen.

You may also spot the junior room's little mascot, Ruairì the rooster, who came along for the day.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Eoin, his colleagues and the university for organising a wonderful day we'll never forget.

Congratulations to our second class pupils Michael, Hayden, Emilda and Niamh who celebrated their First Holy Communion today in St. Teresa's Church in Ballintogher.

⚽🏃🏻🥅Annual Sports Day 🥅🏃🏻⚽

We were blessed with lovely weather for our annual sports day today.

Sean, from Klaaskickz , was with us with some fun soccer skills and drills.

Ms. Maxwell, organised some parachute games and some old-school playground games.

Finally, a huge thank you to our past pupils from Lough Allen College, Mollie, Chloe, Ruth Anne and Megan, who organised a brilliant afternoon of obstacle courses and races for the children. It was lovely to have the girls back for the day.
