We were very sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Mr Laszlo Dani at the weekend.

His sons Dominik and Marcell are students in our school and his eldest boy Laszlo Jnr just graduated in June. We are thinking of you all boys.

We ask our school community to please support the fundraiser below which has been organized to help the family with the funeral costs at this difficult time.

Our wonderful Early Years class had their graduation from Scoil Phádraig Naofa on Tuesday morning last week. It was a great morning celebrating all 6 students with their families. We are so proud of each and every child and wish them the very best of luck in their new schools. You will be missed!

We had an emotional day last Thursday morning as we held a closing ceremony for our school, Scoil Phádraig Naofa.

There has been a Scoil Phádraig Naofa/St Patrick's Boys NS in Bandon for well over a century so it truly was an historic occasion.

Our school community welcomed back the 3 past principals of Scoil Phádraig Naofa Convent Hill as our special guests for the event. It was a pleasure to see Mr John O'Donoghue, Mr Tom Powell and Mrs Anne Twomey back in SPN for the morning.

Music on the day was provided by the talented Mr Pat Lane on the bagpipes and from our superb school choir too.

Our current Principal Mrs Meabh Nyhan acknowledged the incredible work that has taken place in Scoil Phádraig Naofa over the years. Mrs Nyhan asked our eldest and youngest pupils to lower the school flag before she presented it to Scoil Phádraig Naofa's first Principal, Mr O'Donoghue 😊

Our Student Council President, Kai put it well when he said 'although this morning is a sad occasion as we come to the end of an era, it is also a happy occasion as we see the beginning of a new one.'

Our school will soon amalgamate with our good friends and neighbours from Presentation Primary School Bandon in what is a very exciting move for education in Bandon Town 😊

Our Student Council President referred aptly to a seanfhocal when closing - Ní neart go cur le chéile!

And now we arrive on this very last day. You have been so wonderful, I must say!

Our wonderful 6th Class pupils from Mr O'Regan's and Ms Forde's classes celebrated their graduation from Scoil Phádraig Naofa on Monday :)

We were honoured to have the Cork Senior Hurling Captain, Mr Sean O'Donoghue as our guest of honour for this special occasion for the boys. A number of the students are members of Bandon Gaa so they were thrilled to meet Sean who gave great advice to the boys about the transition to secondary school. We are so grateful to Sean for attending and we wish him the very best of luck in the upcoming All Ireland semi final against Limerick.

This was an historic graduation as this group of students are the last to graduate from Scoil Phádraig Naofa (St Patrick's Boys NS) as our school looks forward to the exciting opening of Bandon Primary School in September :)

Congratulations boys! You will all be missed on Convent Hill but we know that you will get on great in secondary school. Well done to each one of you for working so hard during your time in SPN. All our staff are very proud of each and every one of you!
