Ferndale Créche & Montessori Ferndale Crèche aims to provide a quality childcare service. It also provides a safe, happy, loving and stimulating environment for children in our care.

We cater for children from 4 months old to school age. Opening hours 7.30am to 6.15pm Although ‘Ferndale’, Matthews Lane is on the outskirts of Drogheda town, it is in a rural setting. We are situated adjacent to the Donore Road Industrial Estate, the Tesco Extra Store and the M1 motorway. The Crèche is a purpose built, stand-alone facility at the rear of our residential property. The children hav

e access to a large garden and playground plus outdoor extensions to all ground floor rooms. The premises comprises of: Reception Area,
2 Montessori Rooms, Toddler Room, Wobbler Room, Nursery, Nursery Rest Room, Toilets/Changing Rooms, Kitchen, Store, Garden, and Car Park.

🌞🌙 **Exploring the Solar Eclipse!** 🌙🌞

Today we took the opportunity to talk about the solar eclipse that will happen in our skies this evening! The children talked about the Sun & Moon & enjoyed learning about this exciting natural event. 🔭✨

We then brought our learning to life with some creative painting, experimenting with colours, circular shapes & different brush movements to create our own eclipse-inspired artwork.
It was a lovely opportunity to encourage the children’s curiosity, creativity & communication, while connecting our learning to something happening in the world around us. 🌍💫
