Our 6th Class hoodies have arrived and they look fantastic! 🎉

These lovely hoodies were designed collaboratively by our talented 6th Class pupils, whose creativity and ideas are reflected in every detail. A huge thank you to our wonderful Parents’ Committee for their generous sponsorship and support in helping to make this project possible.

The children should be very proud of their designs – the hoodies look incredibly smart and will be a lovely keepsake of their time in Walshestown N.S. 💙

🌟 Welcome Back, Walshestown N.S.! 🌟

The summer holidays are over, and we welcomed all of our pupils, staff, and families back for another exciting year at Walshestown N.S.
A new school year brings new opportunities, new friendships, and lots of wonderful learning experiences. We hope everyone has had a relaxing and enjoyable summer and is feeling refreshed and ready for the year ahead.
We can’t are delighted to see the corridors and classrooms filled with smiles, laughter, and learning once again.

🎉🚗 A Huge Thank You from Walshestown N.S. 🚗🎉

What a fantastic day we had at our Family Fun Day and Car Wash! We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who came along, supported the event, and helped make it such a wonderful success. There was something for everyone to enjoy, from delicious pizza from Casa Greetalia, colourful face painting, and our tempting cake sale, to the ever-popular car wash which kept our volunteers busy throughout the day!
A very special thank you goes to our incredible Parents' Committee who organised and ran such a successful event. Their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm ensured that the day was enjoyed by all. To top it all off, they were rewarded with a fantastic Louth victory over Armagh to round off a perfect day! 🔴⚪
We would also like to give a special mention to Mr Garland, who led the car wash station. He put in a tremendous effort from start to finish and was truly the backbone of the operation. His energy, commitment, and willingness to get stuck in played a huge part in the success of the day.

Thank you again to everyone who supported the event. The wonderful community spirit on display is what makes Walshestown N.S. such a special place.

A special thank you to all the children who took part in the walk. They had brilliant fun and certainly deserved their ice creams after a fantastic day of sunshine, fun running, and smiles.

🌻 Inspired by Van Gogh! 🌻

The children at Walshestown NS have been learning about the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh and his iconic painting Sunflowers. Inspired by his work, they created their own vibrant sunflower paintings using bold colours and expressive brushstrokes.
It was fantastic to see the children's creativity, imagination, and artistic talents on display. Each piece is unique and showcases their wonderful effort and attention to detail.
Well done to all our young artists on creating such beautiful masterpieces! 🎨🌻💛

We were fortunate to have an exceptional Student Council this year, led by Mr Garland. Throughout the year, the council worked tirelessly to organise a wide range of enjoyable events and collaborated closely with staff and the Parents' Association to help make our school an even better place for everyone. Their enthusiasm, leadership, and commitment had a positive impact on the entire school community. In recognition of their outstanding efforts, each member was presented with a marvellous bar of chocolate as a small token of our appreciation.
