# Ireland, My Second Home 🇮🇪💚

There’s still time before the end of summer to recharge your batteries, enjoy some fresh air and discover beautiful places that are right on our doorstep.

Here are four places that are definitely worth visiting:

**1. Blackrock Castle Observatory** – a beautiful historic castle overlooking the River Lee, with a fascinating connection to science and astronomy. 🔭✨

**2. Gougane Barra & St Finbarr’s Oratory** – a magical little church surrounded by mountains and peaceful scenery. One of those places that makes you stop and simply enjoy the moment.

**3. Gougane Barra Forest Park** – perfect for a walk, a breath of fresh air and a little escape from everyday life. 🌲🥾

**4. Mizen Head** – spectacular cliffs, dramatic Atlantic views and the feeling that you’ve reached the very edge of Ireland. 🌊💨

Ireland really is my second home — and there is always another beautiful place waiting to be discovered.

🎨✨ **STEP INTO THE WORLD OF JAN MATEJKO!**

What an incredible place! 🏡🌳
Hidden among 4 hectares of beautiful landscape park, the **Jan Matejko Manor in Krzesławice** takes you straight into the world of one of Poland’s greatest painters.

Here, Matejko spent his summers, worked and created.
Walking through his home and seeing his **studio and dining room** was a truly special experience.

His paintings bring Poland’s history to life — and standing in the very place where he worked makes that history feel even closer.

A little journey through art, history and time… and I absolutely loved it! ❤️



**WEJŚĆ DO ŚWIATA JANA MATEJKI — BEZCENNE!**

Ależ to było miejsce!
Pośród 4 hektarów pięknego parku krajobrazowego znajduje się **Dworek Jana Matejki w Krzesławicach** — miejsce, które pozwala przenieść się w świat jednego z największych polskich malarzy.

To tutaj Matejko spędzał letnie miesiące, pracował i tworzył.
Spacer po jego domu i możliwość zobaczenia **pracowni oraz jadalni mistrza** były naprawdę wyjątkowym przeżyciem.

Dzięki jego obrazom historia Polski ożywa, a pobyt w miejscu, w którym sam pracował, pozwala poczuć ją jeszcze mocniej.

Mała podróż przez sztukę, historię i czas… i zdecydowanie była tego warta! ❤️

**Wakacje z kulturą – Katedra na Wawelu w Krakowie**

Jeśli tego lata odwiedzacie Kraków, koniecznie zajrzyjcie do Katedry na Wawelu. To miejsce, w którym historia, sztuka i duchowość tworzą niezwykłą całość.

Zachwyca nie tylko majestatyczne wnętrze, ale również wyjątkowe miejsca, takie jak **ołtarz *Ara Patriae*** oraz **ołtarz Jezusa Ukrzyżowanego**, przy którym – według tradycji – św. królowa Jadwiga dostąpiła wizji, podczas której Chrystus przemówił do niej.

Warto także wejść na dzwonnicę i zobaczyć słynny **Dzwon Zygmunta**. Legenda mówi, że dotknięcie go lewą ręką pomaga spełnić marzenia. 😊

Niezapomniane wrażenie robią królewskie kaplice, a prawdziwą perełką jest **Kaplica Zygmuntowska**, zaprojektowana przez włoskiego mistrza Bartolomea Berrecciego – uznawana za najpiękniejsze dzieło renesansu w Europie Środkowej.

Na koniec warto odwiedzić królewskie krypty, gdzie spoczywają polscy monarchowie oraz wybitni przedstawiciele historii i kultury naszego kraju.

Jeśli kochacie historię, architekturę i sztukę – to miejsce zdecydowanie warto wpisać na swoją listę.

**Summer with Culture – Wawel Cathedral in Kraków**

If you're visiting Kraków this summer, make sure to explore **Wawel Cathedral**. It is one of Poland's most remarkable historical and cultural landmarks.

The magnificent interior features the impressive **Ara Patriae Altar** and the **Crucified Christ Altar**, where, according to tradition, **Saint Queen Jadwiga** experienced a vision in which Christ spoke to her.

You can also climb the bell tower to see the famous **Sigismund Bell**. Legend says that touching it with your left hand will make your wish come true. 😊

Don't miss the breathtaking royal chapels, especially the **Sigismund Chapel**, designed by the Italian architect **Bartolomeo Berrecci** and considered one of the finest examples of Renaissance architecture in Central Europe.

Finally, visit the royal crypts, where Polish kings, queens, and many distinguished national figures are buried.
