Killavullen, Annakisha and Ballygriffinโs Nano Nagle Birthplace, will mark the 250th Anniversary of the Presentation Sisters on Sunday, 26 April 2026, honouring the life and legacy of Nano Nagle.
The day will center on a Mass at the Church of St Nicholas, Killavullen at 11.30am, celebrated by Bishop William Crean and local clergy, with the event also live streamed to a global audience across six continents.
Born in Ballygriffin, Nano Nagle founded the Presentation Sisters in 1775, beginning a movement dedicated to education, care for the poor and those in any kind of need at a time when such work was difficult and dangerous under the Penal Laws.
Following the Mass, a reception will take place at Nano Nagle Birthplace, bringing together Presentation Sisters, friends of Nano, and the local community to mark this significant milestone.
