Late summer and early autumn are bursting with life at OURganic Gardens!
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your growing skills, preserve heirloom harvests, find morning stillness, or craft something beautiful for your home, we have a wonderful lineup of gatherings coming up in Gortahork. 🌿✨
🌾 1. The Big Harvest: Obtain a Yield
When: Saturday, 22nd August | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
What: Master smart harvesting techniques that encourage ongoing abundance and learn essential seed-saving basics to select the best plants for your growing conditions.
Cost: €15pp or members go free.
🥬 2. Heritage & Traditions: Garden & Kitchen Workshop (with Wild Fuschia Bakehouse)
When: Sunday, 23rd August | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
What: Celebrate Heritage Week with a walk & talk exploring the historic Gortahork Cabbage and heirloom seeds, followed by a hands-on kitchen session making slow-cooked chutneys, pickles, and flavoured vinegars.
Cost: €85pp (includes lunch, notes & goodie bag)
🌄 3. Earth Tenders: Community Meditation (with Sea Stone Sky)
When: Saturday, 29th August | 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
What: A gentle, grounding guided morning meditation to pause, cultivate presence, and connect deeply with the land and community. No experience needed.
Cost: Free / donations welcome (bring a mat/blanket)
🍂 4. Autumn Dried Flower Door Wreath Workshop
When: Saturday, 5th September | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
What: Spend a therapeutic morning crafting a stunning, long-lasting autumn wreath using dried garden flowers, seed heads, and grasses.
Cost: €60pp (includes all materials, seasonal snacks & your finished wreath)
