- A written statement from one of our community members after yesterday's Annual Gathering featuring Rupa Marya, Ollie Moore from TalamhBeo, Mahmoud Zwhara, a farmer from Bethlehem, Palestine, and Joanne Fullerton, Myco Craic of ChangeMakers Donegal.
There was immense energy in the room, and everyone loved the Food is Medicine themed light supper prepared by Cul A Ti, Culdaff.

🌍What connects a farmer from Palestine, a physician-author from California, and a food advocate from Cloughjordan with an organic farm in Donegal? This weekend, we'll find out.
We're closing out our June ’25 to May ’26 year at ChangeMakers Donegal with two gatherings that focus on food, land, identity and our role as change makers in our Donegal communities.
🇵🇸 Mahmoud Zwahra — a Palestinian farmer from Bethlehem— will join us in person, and we'll be screening his film, On My Land, at Bernard De Ceuster’s Muineagh Organic Farm: a rare chance to sit with his story and reflect together on land, resilience, and food sovereignty. With our collaborators Disappear Here Film Festival.
On Saturday, for our annual gathering in a new, changed-up format at Buncrana Cinema, we’ll hear from the wonderful Rupa Marya, a physician, author and Trinity College Dublin Professor, alongside our friend and collaborator, Ollie Moore from Cloughjordan Eco Village, UCC, and Talamh Beo in the classic surrounds of Buncrana Cinema. Featuring a screening of Rupa's Farming is Medicine film. Facilitated by Joanne Fullerton of ChangeMakers Donegal.
🚍From farm walks to good food to conversations and film, there's something for everyone across Friday and Saturday’s events.
Both events are now sold out — but cancellations may happen. Register on the waiting lists below, and we'll be in touch as spots open up.
