🍂 WHAT'S ON with ChangeMakers Donegal this Autumn! 🍂

From accredited courses to funding opportunities to hands-on workshops, there's something for everyone who wants to get involved with our programme this Autumn.

For the first half of this Autumn season, we are planning:

âś… A FREE 7-week accredited course on global development with Francine Blache Breen and Eve Li
💶 Funding & mentoring for community groups (up to €650!) with our panel of facilitators
🛠️ Free upcycling workshops on community and the right to repair with Julie Griffiths, artivist

Whether you're an individual looking to learn more about the world around you, or a community group ready to take action — we are opening up a safe space for you to learn with us.

“I’ll teach you another song” Gift Chansa, Circus Zambia

🚀We were privileged to collaborate with Circus Zambia yesterday in a CPD workshop for facilitators based in the North West. They shared techniques that underscore their mission as a social circus and educational hub in Chibolya, in Lusaka, Zambia

👨🏾‍🚀Afronauts by Circus Zambia and Wake The Beast is at Playhouse Derry again tonight, then at The Civic as part of Fringe Fest. Get yourself there. A playful, joyful treat, especially inspirational for families, including history and storytelling buffs, budding gymnasts, and performers. Just over an hour long.

🙏Thanks to everyone who took part in a special afternoon.

Join IDP this September for our Stories of Connection event, as Tenx9 comes to for the very first time in partnership with I-STAR (Inishowen Standing Together Against Racism).

Tenx9 is a unique storytelling event where nine people share true stories from their own lives, with up to ten minutes each to tell their story. This year's theme is Connections.

Whether it's a story about community, friendship, family, belonging, or an unexpected encounter, we invite you to come along and be part of an evening of powerful, authentic storytelling.

“Somewhere inside of all of us is the power to change the world.” - Roald Dahl

IDP is hosting a free Voter Education Facilitator Training this September, designed to support local leaders, volunteers, and community representatives in promoting informed participation in elections.

Over two interactive days, participants will gain practical tools and activities to deliver voter education workshops in their own communities.

Meet Gift Chansa & Ephraim Phiri next Saturday in . They are the facilitators behind our upcoming free CPD workshop for facilitators🌍.

Drawing on Circus Zambia's inclusive model, they'll share tools for building trust, confidence & resilience in your practice — especially with marginalised communities.

No circus or arts experience necessary. This workshop is designed with local facilitators and projects in mind and blends physical, participatory practice with shared reflection, discussion and ideas — all facilitators, whatever their background, are welcome. Thanks to our partners at Playhouse Derry for having us.

Fresh from a stint in Edinburgh, Circus Zambia will perform in Afronauts that evening and on Sunday 6 September. An all-ages, high-flying collision of circus, theatre, and space adventure.

"Whatever happens to seed affects the web of life." - Vandana Shiva

✨Join Moville Community Garden for an inspiring evening this Saturday for Seeds & Solidarity, an evening focused on Food Justice.

🌾We're pleased to contribute to this gathering with a short workshop on seed sovereignty following a lovely session with the Swilly Gardening Club (photo 2, 3, 4) in earlier this summer.

🎬Our friends in Moville will also be screening the thought-provoking film "Farming is Medicine" by Marya from Deep Medicine Circle. This is a perfect opportunity to nourish not just your patch at home in the community, but your mind and spirit too, as we approach the busyness of September and leave behind us.

🌻Everyone is welcome.
