The aim of the open studio space within The Loft is to involve the wider community in Donegal through hosting small group exhibitions, visiting exhibitions, openings, events, classes, recitals, creative writing events and so forth. Scheduled workshops & demonstrations led by locals & visitors will take place throughout the calendar year & will be accessible to all. The loft space & outdoor courtyard on the ground floor will host seasonal markets for local artists, makers and producers offering the opportunity to buy from the makers, creating a route to market for creatives and offering a new incentive to shop local & invest in the rich culture of Donegal. It is hoped that activities at The Loft will compliment the small business & community culture of Donegal Town.
