Primary School Survey Results – Have Your Say! 📊

Earlier this year, parents and the wider school community completed a Department of Education survey on key topics for our school community:

✅ Co-educational or single-sex schooling

✅ Patronage and school ethos

✅ Language of instruction (English-medium or Gaeilge-medium)

The results are now available to view, and we want to hear from YOU – parents, staff, and the wider community.

🏃‍♀️ Calling All Primary Schools / Parents! 🏃‍♂️

Join us for a 5K Chipped Family Fun Run, taking place alongside the annual Donegal Town Eamon Harvey 10K!

📅 Sunday, 13th September
⏰ Start: 10.30am sharp
📍 Starting point: Upper Main Street, outside North West Alarms (F94 KV40)

🏁 Finish: Through the official Donegal Town 10K finish line at AVS

👉 Register now at www.donegaltown10k.com

🎽 Race number collection: AVS
Collect Race bibs on Saturday 12th (2.00pm – 7.00pm) or Race Day (8.00am – 9.30am). Collection closes at 9.30am on Race Day, allowing everyone time to make their way to the start line.

🏅 Every finisher will receive a fantastic commemorative medal!

🍰 Refreshments and treats will be served afterwards in the AVS Gym

🎉 Schools Challenge
When parents are registering their child at www.donegaltown10k.com, remember to include their school name and on the day, a parent or guardian should follow along after.

Every participating child will count towards two exciting awards:

🏆 The Schools Cup –
awarded to the fastest school

🏆 The Spirit Cup –
awarded to the best-represented school

💶 Entry Fees €5 per person / €20 per family

⚠️ IMPORTANT
Every child must be accompanied and supervised on the course by a parent or guardian, who accepts full responsibility for the child’s supervision, safety and conduct. Not suitable for young children.

By taking part, you’ll also help raise vital funds for the Solace Cancer Centre and Tír Chonaill AC.

Bring your family, friends and walking buddies along for a brilliant community day out. Whether you run, jog or walk, we can’t wait to welcome you to the start line!

What a fantastic achievement at today’s Sprint Monte! We were delighted to have our students take 1st, 2nd and 3rd place! 🥇🥈🥉

A huge congratulations to everyone who entered and competed today. It was brilliant to see so many of our students getting involved, showing great determination, sportsmanship and school spirit.
