🌊🐶 Freddie and the Ocean 🐙🏴‍☠️

Ms. Cannon’s Junior Infants had a whale of a time exploring our Freddie and the Ocean theme!

The children learned all about marine life and octopuses 🐙 investigated waterproof materials through STEM activities and designed and built their own ships. They also enjoyed visiting the siopa uachtar reoite, using their cúpla focal while ordering tasty treats. 🍦🇮🇪

Everything was going swimmingly until some pirates crashed our beach party! 🏴‍☠️ Thankfully, our brave Junior Infants were more than a match for them and saved the day 🐾

✏️📚 Creative Writing in Action! 📚✏️

Ms. Flynn’s class have been thoroughly enjoying their creative writing lessons over the past few weeks. The pupils used their imaginations to create their own stories, bringing them to life with AI-generated illustrations before carefully presenting them in book format.

The children visited Ms. Cannon’s Junior Infant classroom to share their finished stories with our youngest pupils. The older children did a wonderful job reading aloud, while the Junior Infants listened attentively and enjoyed hearing the imaginative tales.

It was a lovely opportunity for pupils of different age groups to learn together, build confidence and celebrate their creativity. Well done to all involved on your fantastic storytelling and reading skills! 🌟

Congratulations to the Naomh Naille U14 Boys on their fantastic SRB Division 2 Final victory last week.

We were delighted to celebrate our pupils who were part of the squad today as they proudly brought the cup in to share their success with us. We are very proud of their achievement and the excellent role models they are for our younger students.

📢 Summer Walk & Draw – New Date Confirmed! 🚶☀️🍔

Due to the recent weather, our Summer Walk & Draw has been rescheduled and will now take place on Tuesday, 16th June.

🕡 Registration at the school: 6:30pm
🚶 Walk begins: 7:00pm
🍔 BBQ afterwards
🎟️ Fantastic prizes to be won, including a signed Donegal GAA jersey, a family stay at the Shandon Hotel, Kevin Bridges tickets and much more!

All proceeds go towards the St. Peter’s N.S. Parents’ Association.

We have also made the decision to postpone Sports Day, which was due to take place tomorrow.

We will share the new dates with families as soon as possible.

We had a wonderful assembly today, hosted by Mrs. Lawless’ class, who shared some of the fantastic learning they have been engaged in over the past while. We were also delighted to hear an update from our Wellbeing Committee, who presented their latest Kindness Awards and celebrated the many acts of kindness taking place throughout our school.

To finish the assembly, we recognised and celebrated our Prize Winners of the Month – congratulations to all our deserving recipients!

Wishing all of our pupils, families and staff a very happy and relaxing long weekend! ☀️😊

Thank you to Danielle and Martina from Begley’s Pharmacy who called in to us with some new toys for our autism classes.

Following the coffee morning they held for World Autism Day, we were delighted to receive a share of the proceeds. The toys will be a lovely addition to our classrooms and will be greatly enjoyed by the students.
