S.I.M.P.L.E is a researched fundamental movement programme that is fun for kids to do. Using specific movements to improve physical literacy, which underpins literacy!!! Fostering a more balanced nervous system, a more mature balance system which allows a child to sit still for longer and enables the bodily functions that are necessary for development, learning and behaviours.

Before children can use their brains effectively for reading, writing and learning, they need to be able to organise and control their bodies!

Every year it's the same story. New rooms, new educators, new drop-off routines, and a whole lot of big feelings from our little people.

Here's the part we forget: most children need 4 to 6 weeks to fully settle into a new routine. Not 4 to 6 days. Weeks.

So if it's week two and drop-off is still hard, nothing is wrong. Nobody is failing. The child who cried this morning isn't behind, and the parent standing in the car park feeling guilty isn't doing it wrong either. Keep communication with our educators open and please ask all the questions you want to ask, we are to support children and their families 🥰

Adjustment takes as long as it takes. Every child is different. Keep the routine predictable, keep the goodbyes short and warm, and give everyone (including yourself) some grace while it all clicks into place.
