As we are currently in a orange weather warning with a possibility of it being upgraded to red due to a red costal warning, we have made the decision that our service will remain closed tomorrow Tuesday 9th December in the best interest of the health and safety of all families and staff.

Baking, Marble run, Sewing crafts, Painting and decorating, Air clay crafts, Hot glue activities, Wooden art construction activities topped off with the start of some very important Christmas arts and crafts!
Afterschool is all fun and games in the evenings!!

October 2025 and Halloween Camp
Halloween camp was a busy and fun 3days !!
The kids had so much fun with a range of activities from arts and crafts, outdoor play, science experiments and some spooky Halloween pumpkin carving and games!
The fun is ongoing at our afterschool service as the kids are getting so excited to get started into all our Christmas fun and games !!

Due to ever incresing demand, we have a few positions opened up at our lovely rural setting - Céimeanna Cliste Naíonra agus Club Iarscoile from January 2026!🥰

If you are passionate about children and enjoy working in a friendly, supportive environment - then we might just have the role for you!

Positions included:

🟢1 x Early years educator (ages 2+), permanent, 30-35 hours per week. Minimum qualification QQI level 5 Early Childhood Care & Education required. Salary min €15ph Neg DOE

🟢1 x School Age Childcare Practitioner, Permanent, 20 hours per week. Minimum qualification QQI level 5 Early Childhood Care & Education required. Salary min €15ph Neg DOE

🟢1 x Cook, 25 hours per week. Qualifications and experience in preparing meals in an early years setting essential. Salary min €15ph Neg DOE

A WEEK OF SPOOKTACULAR FUN AND GAMES!!!!!

TUES 28TH October - THURS 30TH October 2025

FULL DAY : 9am-5pm or HALF DAY : 9am-2pm

We currently have a few remaining spaces for our Halloween camp. A child led camp filled with lots of indoor and outdoor spooky Halloween fun.
From Arts & Crafts, Baking, S.T.E.M activities, Lots of Spooky Halloween Fun including Dress up and Party and much much more.
Why not come and join in the fun at Smartsteps Stramore for a few days of fun over the Halloween holidays!!

NCS accepted to enable all parents receive a reduction of their fees.

Due to the given weather warnings for Friday 3rd October, Ceimeanna Cliste/ Smartsteps Stramore will close at an earlier time of 1pm tomorrow 3rd Oct 2025, therefore there will be NO AFTERSCHOOL tomorrow.
As always the safety of families, children and our staff are of utmost imporatnce.
