Butterflies 🦋 and Bats 🦇

Thanks to all the families who joined us on Saturday to make Peg Butterflies and Bats. We had a fun morning creating with you.

chose a theme of butterflies and bats to reflect the importance of biodiversity on our peninsula.

Vanda has seen bats at dusk near Rahillion Windmill and Vanda and I spotted them at the Donabate end of the cliff walk one evening recently. It's been great to see butterflies on our local flora this summer too.

Friday wasTaylor Swift Night at the Donabate and Portrane Summer Festival. Over 100 children joined us to make friendship bracelets and keychains.

The Market Marquee will run from 11-7 and showcase some beautiful products from local vendors and beyond 😍

It's Raining It's Pouring ☔

It was raining last Friday but we didn't mind, as we were designing bags with the

A group of friends made matching bags with their names on them. One child invented a character called "Mr. Beef Wellington", and put him on his bag. There was so much fun, even the adults joined in. Everyone was proud to bring their creations home.

Friday's Life Sized Self-Portraits

What a lovely way to spend a Friday afternoon! We had fun, laughs and chats, as young artists made self-portraits as big as they are. We hope they are proudly displayed in your homes.

We had so much fun creating owls 🦉 with young artists today. Each owl was different, just like their creators. They made hand drawn backgrounds, or created them from fabric. We had chats about Harry Potter and Hedwig. A couple of children made an envelope, so their owl can deliver a letter to Harry. I hope they receive a letter from Hogwarts.
