Our Castle Park Swimathon is now underway!

From 20th–26th April, our pupils, staff, families and members of the public are invited to swim together in support of the Gavin Glynn Foundation, a wonderful charity helping families across Ireland who are fighting childhood cancer.

Our goal is to collectively swim the distance from Dublin to New York, while raising €5,000 for this incredible cause. We have pool slots available throughout the week and welcome anyone who would like to take part.

Can't make it to the pool? You can still make a difference by donating, just scan the QR code in our poster.

Thank you for your support. Together, we can make this a memorable week for a very worthy cause.

🌿 Walk This Way: CP Steps Ahead 🌿

Friday morning’s assembly marked the beginning of something special for our school.

As part of celebrating our Green Flag status, we launched 'Walk This Way: CP Steps Ahead' - a pupil-led campaign encouraging children to walk, scoot or cycle to school.

We were delighted to welcome Castle Park alumnus Jamie Casey ( ) to the assembly to share his experience of running from Malin Head to Mizen Head, a powerful reminder for our pupils of what consistency and determination can achieve.

At the heart of our campaign are three simple ideas:
🧠 Healthy Body, Healthy Mind - a short walk before school helps children feel settled and ready to learn.
🌱 Fewer Cars, Cleaner Air - small changes can make a real difference to the environment around our school.
🛡️ Safe Start, Safe Finish - less congestion creates a safer space for everyone at drop-off and pick-up.

We know mornings are busy, but even walking one or two days a week, or parking a little further away, can make a real difference.

Will you take the first step with us?

Know a family with a little one starting school soon?

We’re opening the doors to Early Years next Friday 24 April at 9am for a relaxed Stay & Play morning.

Children aged 4 and under can explore the classroom, play, and settle in at their own pace, while parents have the chance to look around, meet the team, and get a clear sense of how the day works.

There’ll be time for a chat, a coffee, and a proper feel for the environment.

If you have friends, neighbours or family starting to think about school, feel free to pass this on - we’d love to meet them.

Places are limited, please register on our website to secure a spot.

Happy 122nd Birthday, Castle Park! 🎉

Yesterday, we celebrated CP Day - Castle Park’s birthday! From our whole-school Assembly and the cutting of the birthday cake to the much-loved Crocodile Game, hot chocolate, and a photo scavenger hunt, the day was filled with fun, tradition, and lasting memories.

A wonderful celebration of our school, our community, and everything that makes Castle Park so special. 🎂

Stepping into the spotlight!

A snapshot of our third class pupils on stage, working together, building confidence and sharing something special. From rehearsals to play night, they have practised, supported one another, and grown as a group.

With thanks to Ms Brown for her steady guidance throughout. A moment to be proud of.

A Special Visitor at Castle Park!

We were thrilled to welcome Old Cepian (alumna) Dr Avine Lydon, Consultant Anaesthetist, back to Castle Park today.

Dr Lydon gave an inspiring and insightful presentation to our Form VI pupils, sharing her career journey and highlighting the exciting opportunities that medicine offers. She emphasised the importance of being proactive in learning, encouraging pupils to explore different subjects and activities to discover their true interests.

She also shared fond memories of her time at Castle Park before answering lots of questions from our curious pupils!

Thank you, Dr Lydon, for coming back to Castle Park and inspiring our future Old Cepians!
