Yesterday at St. Cecilia’s was about celebrating every milestone, all the hard work, and everyone’s unique journey through our school. St. Cecilia’s -Team Connaght!

What an absolutely incredible weekend at the Special Olympics National Event! We are bursting with pride for our amazing students who traveled, competed, and gave it their absolute all on the national stage.

A massive shoutout to Aidan, Daniel and Emily who participated in MATP (Motor Activity Training Program). You blew us away with your skill, focus, and determination across some fantastic events:

Double Bronze

The celebrations didn’t stop there! We are thrilled to celebrate a phenomenal performance in the athletics events, where Milo literally walked away with 2 Bronze Medals in the 100m Walk! What an unbelievable achievement against the best in the country!

To Milo, Aidan, Daniel and Emily: your hard work, big smiles, and unstoppable team spirit have inspired our school. We are so incredibly proud of you!

A big thank you to Deanna, Janice, Fiona and Ben who accompanied the students to their training sessions and over the weekend in Dublin. This could not have been done without your support.

The talent at the Gallagher Lenehan School of Dancing Summer Feis wasn't just limited to the kids—the parents stepped up to the plate too! Their special parents' competition raised a fantastic amount of money for St. Cecilia’s School.
A big shoutout to Patrice, Mary and Nicole Lenehan, who officially presented €1220 to our Principal, Janice.

Our Special Olympics team are getting ready for the national games which starts for us on Friday 19/6. We can’t wait to get our motor activity and athletics events underway after all our training over the last few months.
